The defining architectural feature is the building’s elliptical, egg-shaped facade, which serves as a literal representation of the Shiva Linga. In Hindu theory, the Linga represents the “Brahmanda” (cosmic egg) and the formless nature of Shiva. Unlike traditional stone carvings, this design uses integrated lighting to project an “effulgence effect.” At night, the light rays emerge in an elliptical pattern, transforming the building skin into a luminous manifestation of divine energy. The entrance acts as a symbolic threshold, immediately identifying the presiding deity through light and scale.
The project adheres strictly to Vaastu Shastra, the ancient Indian science of architecture.
  1. Energy Flow: The design is calibrated to generate “positive energy” within the external and internal spaces, aiming to induce peace and harmony in devotees.
  2. Atmospheric Peace: By aligning the spatial flow with Vaastu principles, the architecture transitions the devotee from the bustling external world into a state of “peace of mind.”
